Instructions

    • 1

Seat two to four people at a square table, one person on each side, with the Mahjong tiles in the middle.

    • 2

Draw 13 tiles per person and decide who goes first. The rotation moves clockwise after the person who went first. Get a good look at the tiles, but don't show them to anyone else. After the first round, the person who wins the round goes first on the next round.

    • 3

Designate a discard place on the table for the unwanted tiles and separate them from the unused tiles.

    • 4

Draw a tile at the beginning of each person's turn. You can draw a new tile, or a tile that someone else has discarded. Your goal is to get as many matches as possible.

    • 5

Discard a tile if you have more than 13 tiles in your hand or if you would like to exchange it for a new tile. All discards must be placed face up for everyone to see in the discard section of the table. Make sure you only have a maximum of 13 tiles in your hand after every turn.

    • 6

Continue drawing, matching and discarding until someone has matched all the tiles in their hand. The first person to match all the tiles in their hand wins.
