Things You'll Need
Instructions
Fold the paper in half lengthwise (often called a "hotdog" fold). Cut or rip down the fold. Only one of the sides is needed for one football. Place the paper on a table vertically. Fold one corner down into a triangle. The shape and size of the triangle depends on the fold. Continue folding the paper to create triangles until there is not enough paper left for another triangle. Neatly, tuck the edge into the previous fold.
For smaller footballs, fold a dollar bill in half, lengthwise. Create triangles by folding the edge down, as you would for a notebook paper football. Fold the triangle down and tuck in the "tail," or extra material left over after the last triangle can be folded. For larger footballs, do not fold the bill in half.
Fold tightly. Keep the crease crisp as you fold the triangles down the paper. The end tuck must fit snugly into the last fold. This holds the football together. A loose football could unwrap during the game.
