Things You'll Need
Instructions
Select a fishing lure when the game begins and then cast your line. Cast your line using the wii controller exactly as you would a fishing pole: flipping your wrist toward you so that the controller faces away from the screen and then flipping your wrist swiftly forward so the controller faces the screen. The quicker you flip your wrist the farther you can cast your bait.
Swing the remote left and right to move the bait in the water left and right in front of a fish. This action draws a fish's attention to your bait.
Jerk the Wii controller backward when a fish catches your bait, setting the hook in the fish's mouth. Reel the fish in by cranking the nunchuk in a circle as though it were the reel on a fishing pole.
Press the A or B button to reel the fish in rather than using the Nunchuk if your arm gets tired.
Note the "Line Tension" meter on the right side of the screen. Slow down your reeling motion when the meter reaches the top and becomes red and vibrating. Not doing so results in the line breaking and you losing your fish.
Pay attention to the on-screen directions about moving the rod left or right when you have a fish on the line. The directions reveal to you the behavior of the fish. Not following the direction to move left or right may result in the line breaking or the fish escaping the hook.
