Bucket or Box
Play the Bucket or Box Game to teach communicating effectively in a problem-solving situation. Divide people into groups of 8 to 10 and blindfold them. Obtain 10 to 20 medium-size cardboard boxes and several buckets of water. Explain that the object of the game is for each group to build a fort around themselves using the boxes. Tell them that there can't be any gaps between the boxes wider than three inches and that all group members must be inside the fort. Have people who aren't blindfolded throw water on the blindfolded group for every gap in their boxes or for every member of the group who gets left outside the wall of boxes. Play the game in a casual setting with T-shirts and jeans.
Human Knot
Play the Human Knot Game to teach communication and teamwork. Get your group to stand in a circle and have everybody hold the hand of the person to the right and left. Create a human knot that group members must untangle by communicating and working together. Explain that the object of the game is to get back to the form of a circle circle without anyone letting go of someone else's hand.
Big Team Basketball
Play Big Team Basketball to teach your group that teamwork means that everyone on the team is successful. You'll need a basketball court with hoops at both ends, four sets of stickers labeled 1,2,3 and 4, two basketballs and a scoreboard. Divide the group into four teams of four players each. Adapt the game or play in two shifts if you have more players. Give each team member a number to wear. Explain that every player on a team has to score a basket for the team to win. Have players affix their sticker to the scoreboard after they score.
Egg Drop
Use the Egg Drop game to teach your team to work together in a problem-solving capacity. Divide into groups of four to five. Tell everyone that the object of the game is for each group to find a way to protect its egg from a 10 foot fall. Instruct the groups that they must collaborate and create a device from the materials you provide for them. Collect materials like egg cartons, newspapers, tape, rubber bands or anything else you can think of to use in protecting the egg.
