Bump Blob Tag
Players engage in a seemingly never-ending boot camp-style game of tag when playing "Bump Blob Tag." Players pair up, with the group choosing one pair to start the game as the "It" player and the runner he chases. While the "It" player chases her, the runner may go up to another buddy pair and "bump" one person, forming a new pair. The buddy that the runner did not "bump" starts running and becomes the "It" player's new chase target. Should the "It" player tag the original runner, they switch roles and the original runner tries catching the original "It" player.
Nintendo Wii Games
The Nintendo Wii platform offers various boot camp-oriented games for players. "Drill Sergeant Mindstrong" takes boot camp trainees through training games that boggle and strengthen the mind. Players use concentration and quick thinking to finish as the top "boot" of their class, earning performance-based promotions along the way.
Players engage in a Hell Week-style boot camp on a Pacific jungle island, with a star fitness trainer as their coach in Majesco Sales' "Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2010." This sequel to the 2009 edition features motion tracking for more accurate exercise movement, a "Resolutions" calendar system allowing players to program routines for periods up to six months and 16 core cardiovascular and strength-building exercises.
Whether it's driving a tank, protecting the Earth from alien invaders or spying on enemies, players' Army experiences run the gamut in Zoo Games' "Boot Camp Academy." The game features 19 mini-games and three game modes: "Total War," in which players earn territories with each challenge; "Quick Play," which lets players choose any of the mini-games, or "Boot Camp," which requires players to follow the order of the mini-games.
Over and Under
Players quickly pass a ball back over their head in the boot camp game "Over and Under." Upon a signal, players pass the ball back until it reaches the last person in line, who holds onto it. After sending the first ball back, the first person in line (the leader) counts to 10 and then passes a second ball between his feet, with players bending over to pass it. When the second ball reaches the last player, she runs forward with a ball in each hand and takes her place at the start of the line. She passes one ball backward overhead, counts to 10 and passes the other between her feet. Play continues until the original leader again heads the line, carrying both balls. The team whose leader returns first to the front of the line wins.
Story Teller
For this boot camp game, a leader uses a children's book or story containing a repetitive phrase. The group jogs around the area in a circle as the leader reads the story. When the leader reads the repetitive phrase, group members stop running and perform exercises to each word. For instance, each time the leader says the phrase, group members perform squats, jumping jacks or push-ups. The leader determines how many repetitions the group should perform.
