Race
The race you design should be multifaceted so that each team member has a chance to use her unique strengths to help her team win. Lay out a physical challenge, such as crawling from one side of a room to the other, followed by a logic exercise, such as solving a puzzle. The last leg of the race can be a balancing exercise, such as carrying an egg in a spoon to a "finish line." Make sure there are enough stages in the race to allow every team member to participate.
Maze
Split the team into two equal groups and have the members of each group hold hands in a circle. Lead them around, up, and over each other until they are tangled. Pass one member underneath another member's arm. Have two members crouch down and lead another member up over their linked arms. Turn some members backwards, forcing them to cross their arms over their bodies to retain contact. However you decide to move members, make sure they continue holding hands all the way around the circle and that no one is in pain. The first group to untangle its members without unlocking their hands wins.
Guessing Game
Have each team member write five random facts about herself on an index card. Collect the cards. Read the facts aloud and have the team guess who they're about. The facts may be funny, odd, or serious; whatever the team member would like to tell about herself.
Speed Dating
Set up several isolated tables with two chairs, one at each side. Have members pretend they are speed dating and have to get to know each other in sixty seconds. One person should be stationary at each table while the other members rotate between tables. Keep time at the front of the room and ring a bell, blow a whistle, or make some other loud noise to signal a switch once sixty seconds is over.
Superhero
Have all team members stand or sit in a circle. Go around the room and have each person say who their personal superhero is. To make the game more interesting, it may be someone in real life who they admire, such as their mother or father. It may also be a fictional superhero, a movie celebrity, a cartoon character or a politician. Make sure each member explains their choice so that the team learns about that person's values, interests, and beliefs.
