Funny Art Games

Creating artistic works can sometimes seem like a stuffy undertaking. However, when you can inject a bit of fun and silliness into the task, you can enjoy yourself while creating something. So play some funny art games with your friends to let your inner artist surface while you take in some laughs.
  1. Top of the Head Drawing Game

    • To play this game, give every player a piece of paper and a writing utensil. Elect one person to become the leader. He has to give directions concerning what the people in the group draw. The players each place a flat book on the top of their heads to use as a flat space to draw their pictures. The game begins with the leader's first instruction; for instance, he can tell them to draw a house. Then he can tell them to draw a tree by the house and then a bird in the tree. Once the players have drawn at least five items on top of their heads, the leader goes through each of the pictures and gives points according to the artists' accuracy. The person who has the most accurate picture and the most points wins the game.

    Eyes Closed Drawing Game

    • Assemble the players into a circle or around a table. Give them each a piece of paper and tell them to take a close look at the person to their left. After about a minute, blindfold each player. With their writing utensils, they now have to try to draw the person without the use of their eyes, drawing purely from memory. The players have a few minutes to complete this task. Undo their blindfolds and let everyone see the pictures. After everyone has had a good laugh, have the players vote on the best and worst portraits.

    Sculpt It

    • Prepare for the game by coming up with things that people can create out of Play-Doh. Some suggestions include an apple, a bird and a house. Write these ideas on slips of paper and put them into a bowl. Gather everyone around in a circle and have people take turns picking out an idea and sculpting it out of the Play-Doh. While the sculptor attempts to create the idea out of the Play-Doh, the other players must try to figure out what she's sculpting. The first person to guess wins a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins.
