Using In-Game Tips
Depending on the level, you will only be given a certain number of in-game tips to use. Because there is no way to gain additional tips in the game, you'll need to make the most out of the hints you do have. This can be done by saving your available tips until the end, as the last one or two items in a level are typically the hardest ones to find.
Searching for Items
The best way to find all of the objects in a room is by quickly scanning the area and collecting the most obvious items first. This helps clear up the initial clutter of each level before you start digging deep for those items that are harder to find. Also remember that some items are hidden underneath other items and can only be found once the first object has been collected. Finally, try not to spend too much time on one particular item, unless it is the last item needed. If you are having difficulty locating a certain item, take a break and concentrate for a moment on the next item.
Finally, remember that items are usually grouped according to their size, shape or color. If you are looking for a straight object, for instance, try examining any flat, level surfaces like tables, floors and doors. Circular items may be near plates, dishes or even hidden as a design within a piece of fabric or furniture.
Time Management
Running out of time in "Mysteryville" means you'll be required to start the entire level over again, so always pay close attention to the in-game clock. If you are running out of time and you haven't found the last few items, try hitting the "ESC" key to pause the game. This stops the clock and darkens the screen. But if you look carefully you might notice the missing objects. Try adjusting the brightness or contrast on your PC's monitor to make the darkened screen easier to see.
