How to Do Chidori Hand Seals

Chidori is an ability used in the popular anime series called "Naruto," in which a character does a bunch of different hand seals and then releases a large handful of lightning. The characters use hand seals in order to use abilities or magic. This anime is filled with ninjas that use many different special abilities or magical spells called Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. The abilities utilize an energy called chakra.

Instructions

Chidori Hand Seals

  Perform the Ox hand seal by holding your left hand horizontally, with the fingers spaced widely and intertwining the middle and the ring finger of the right hand over the left hand. Allow the baby and index fingers of the right hand to stick up vertically. Your right hand should appear to be making a bull sign.

  Perform the Hare hand seal by extending your left hand horizontally; however, make a fist and extend only your baby finger. Next, make a gun sign with your right hand by balling the baby, ring and middle finger into the palm of your hand and extend the thumb and index finger. Slide the baby finger of the left hand into the crevice between the thumb and index finger.

  Perform the Horse hand seal by interlocking the baby, ring and middle fingers of each hand. Form a triangle with your index fingers, and then bend the thumbs toward the palms of your hand.

  Perform the Monkey hand seal by placing your left hand with the palm facing downward over your right hand with the palm facing upward. Interlock the baby finger and the thumb.

  Perform the Horse hand seal by interlocking the baby, ring and middle fingers of each hand. Form a triangle with your index fingers, and then bend the thumbs toward the palms of your hand.
