Ape, Man, Girl Game
Ape, Man, Girl Game is fun to play with a large group of people. It is appropriate for all ages, and individuals of multiple age levels enjoy playing this game together. Split participants into pairs and have players line up across from one another. Scatter the pairs around the room; they'll need a little space to move around. This game is similar to the classic "Rock, Paper, Scissors." The difference is that instead of only hand gestures, players are required to position their entire bodies into a pose clearly reflective of an ape, man or girl. Be sure to demonstrate appropriate poses for the players beginning the game. Also announce that the ape beats the girl, the man beats the ape and the girl gets the man.
Blindfolded Shoe Shuffle
Blindfolded Shoe Shuffle is ideal for children, teenagers and young adults. You will need a large amount of open space for this game and a blindfold for each participant. Scarves, ties, dish towels and t-shirts all work as suitable homemade blindfolds. Instruct all individuals to make a circle̵2;preferably wide enough for players to be able to lift their arms without touching. Next, tell players to take off their shoes, tie on their blindfolds and toss their shoes into the center of the circle. One person is designated "referee" and is in charge of mixing up the shoes and beginning play. Once all participants hear "go," they move to the center of the circle in search of their shoes. The first player to find his shoes, return to his original space in the circle and re-fasten his shoes wins.
Balloon Game
Balloon Game is active, challenging and suitable for older and younger ages. Before play begins, make sure you have enough balloons for each participant. String, ribbon or yarn and a few individuals willing to blow up each balloon are also required for this game. Pass out a piece of string the same length and one balloon to each individual. Instruct players to attach the string to the balloon and the balloon to their ankle. The goal of this game is for each player to stomp out other player's balloons. The person with the last inflated balloon attached to her ankle wins the game.
