Instructions
Eight-ball scoring
Begin by placing all the pool balls on the table in a triangle formation, with the Eight-ball in the center.
Sink either a striped or a solid colored pool ball by knocking it into a hole with the cue ball. This can be done during the break (first shot) or after the break.
Sink the other balls you have been assigned to, based on the first ball sunk. For example, if you sank a solid ball first, you must sink the remaining solid balls. Or, if your opponent sinks a solid ball first, you mist sink the striped balls.
Once all of your assigned balls have been sunk, sink the Eight-ball. You must do this by calling your shot(telling your opponent which hole you plan to put the Eight-ball in). Once you sink the Eight-ball, you will have scored one point. If you sink the Eight-ball before you are supposed to, or sink the Eight-ball in a hole you didn't call, you will automatically lose.
Repeat steps 1 through 4. Every time you sink the Eight-ball after sinking your assigned balls, you will score a point. Whoever has the highest number of points at the end of a set number of games is the winner.
Nine-ball scoring
Begin by placing the first 9 pool balls on the table in a diamond formation, with the One-ball in front and the Nine-ball in the center.
Use the cue ball to hit the lowest numerical numbered ball on the table. For example, if the lowest numbered ball on the table is a two-ball, you must hit the two ball. After you do this, you can legally sink any ball on the table.
Sink the Nine-ball in a legal manner(described in step 2) to win the game and score a point.
Repeat steps 1 through 3. The player with the highest number of points after a set number of games is the winner.
