Annie Annie Over
If you're in the mood for an active outdoors game, this activity will definitely keep you on your toes. Gather some items, including a ball and a sheet. You can then hang the sheet over a clothing line or a volleyball net in your backyard. Divide the players into two equally-numbered teams, and have both teams assume a side behind the sheet. The game begins when Team A throws the ball over the sheet to the other side. Team B must attempt to catch the ball, and if they do, must rush over to the other side of the sheet and attempt to tag the other team members. Meanwhile, Team A must run to the other side of the sheet to avoid getting tagged. Whoever gets tagged by Team B joins Team B. The game continues on like this until all of the members of one team join the other team. If a team does not catch the ball thrown by the other team, they must then throw the ball to the other side. This process continues until the ball is successfully caught by one team.
Guess What?
A group in the mood for a surprise snack will definitely enjoy (or hate) this game. All you'll need to start is some foods around the house that are both tasty and not-so-tasty. Foods such as candy, cupcakes, as well as onions and liver should all be considered and then wrapped in aluminum foil. Make sure you have enough food items for each person playing the game. Then, grab two or more paper bags, depending on the amount of teams you want, and place these away from where the starting line for the relay race begins. Have the teams line up, and when someone shouts "Go," the first person in line must head for the paper bag, grab an item and eat it, no matter what it is. When that person finishes the whole piece of food, he then makes his way back to the team, and when he reaches the starting line, another teammate runs to the paper bag and continues the process. The game ends when all food items are eaten, and the team that finishes faster wins the game.
Dress Up Relay
Another relay game, this activity is perfect for kids who need something fun to do. Divide the kids into teams of two, and give each team a pile of similar clothes. The team members from each team must race against the other by putting on the clothes and then taking them off. When the first person completes this task, the next person in the team must do the same thing. Whichever team goes through this process faster wins the relay.
