Bible Games & Puzzles

Bible games and puzzles can be a fun way to interact with friends and family---or they can be played for your own entertainment. These games are fun and relaxing, but challenge players to think and remember things related to the Bible. Here are a variety of puzzles, board and electronic games for people of all ages.
  1. Puzzles: Online/Printable

    • Bible-themed crosswords, word searches, codewords (cryptoquotes), anagrams, fill-ins, sodukos, and quizzes can be found at biblequizzes.org (see "Resources"). Many of the puzzles are offered to be played online and by printout. Some also have the solutions to be viewed. Depending on the web browser, players may or may not be able to play the online versions, but the printouts work regardless.

    Apples to Apples Bible Edition

    • Players go around and play red "noun" cards they feel the current judge will find the most entertaining to match with the the green "adjective" card they placed down. The players place their choices face down, so the judge won't know who played what card. The person who laid down the card the judge picks, wins the judge card. The players take turns being the judge. The game is recommended for three or more players, ages 12 and up.

    Bible Tribond Game

    • A game where players must guess what three clues have in common. These clues come from the Bible, but can also be more general knowledge. The questions are referenced from the New International Version of the Bible. The game is recommended for two or more players, ages 12 and up.

    Bibleopoly Game

    • Play is similar to that of Monopoly. Instead of bankrupting your fellow players, you instead cooperate and see who can create their church first. While playing a fun, property trading game you learn about the cities of the Bible. This game is recommended for two to six players, age eight and up.

    4 Degree: Bible Edition

    • Players face off with Bible trivia challenges. Each challenge features a series of four clues, or degrees, and players can choose to guess the answer on each degree. The first degree is the trickiest but rewards, or takes away in the case of a wrong answer, the most points. This game is meant for the Game Wave gaming system and for up to four players.

    The Bible Game

    • The Bible Game is a non-denominational Bible-based game done in a quiz show style. It is a party game that will challenge all members of the family or group, while using information from The Old Testament in its games. It's available on the Xbox, Playstation2 and Game Boy Advance and is meant for all ages.

    The Interactive Parables

    • This 3D game features 20 levels and introduces and teaches players about the 24 Parables of Jesus. At the end of each completed the lesson, the player wins a crown. Recommended for ages 10 and up and hails itself as a great game for family, church or students. Requires Windows 98, ME, XP or XP Pro and 3D graphics capability.

    Puzzles: Online/Printable

    • Bible themed hangman games, scrambles, scryptograms (cryptoquotes), in-completes, and a logic puzzles can be found at bible-puzzles.com (see "Resources"). The website is a bit amateurish in design, but the games can be played online. Some have multiple difficulty settings. Sometime in spring or summer of 2010, the site will undergo renovation and become a two tier membership site.
