Silly Games for Kids

Games are a huge part of any child̵7;s life. Children use games to learn new concepts, increase their strength and agility or simply just to entertain themselves. There are games, such as football and Sudoko, that increase physical and mental strength. However, some games are simply silly and used for pure entertainment.

Blindfolded Banana Split
- This game involves ice cream, bananas and a big mess. It should be done outside on a hot summer day. Pair your children up into teams of two. Put a blindfold on one child in each pair. Put a plastic parka over each child. Each team (four should do) gets one banana split. The banana split should have ice cream, bananas, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles. The blind-folded child then attempts to feed the other child the banana split. The rest of the children make up the ̶0;judges.̶1; These judges then have to judge each team and give them their award at the end. The awards don̵7;t matter much, as long as they are amusing. For example, you can have ̶0;messiest eater̶1; awards or ̶0;most likely to get ice cream in his eye.̶1; Make sure the children don̵7;t eat too fast to avoid cold headaches.
Mr. and Mrs. Chin
- This game can keep children in stitches for a long time. Pair each child up to draw faces on the chin of their partner. The face should be upside down and consist of at the very least eyes and a nose. The child̵7;s mouth will be the face̵7;s mouth. The children can paint anything extra to the face that they like, such as a mustache, ears or glasses. They should try to make the silliest face they can. Each child will then have the opportunity to look at everyone else̵7;s silly face and get a good laugh. However, a panel of adults (at least three) should decide on a series of awards for the faces. One award could be for ̶0;silliest face̶1; while another could be for ̶0;nicest eyes.̶1; Give each child a printed award to enjoy and put up on her wall.

- There are many silly games available online if you simply want to entertain one child at home. Gamevial (see References) has several different silly games to entertain your child. For example, in one game you play a shrunk child who is bursting acne to mine the precious puss inside. In another game, you are wrestling donkeys. Another game features wild adventures in the small intestines, while another one features dinosaurs and chickens locked in combat. These games can be played by multiple children, if they decide to take turns. They can compete for high score or progress and laugh as they play together. These silly games should entertain most children for hours.
