Game Basics
Put the 56 triangular Tri-Omino tiles face down and shuffle. Take nine tiles if playing against one opponent; seven tiles if playing against two or three; and six tiles if playing against four or five. Situate your tiles with the numbers facing you.
You start the round if you possess the highest-value tile with three corners of the same number; three fives would be the highest. If you have the highest-value tile and the tile with three zeros, play either tile. Place the tile face up.
You and your opponents may lack tiles with three of the same number. Alternately, you start the round if you have the highest sum of the three numbers on one Tri-Omino. Play proceeds clockwise, with the next player attempting to match one of his tile's two numbers to an existing tile's edge.
If you cannot play, pick from the "well" of face-down tiles. If you cannot play and the well has no tiles left, pass your turn.
If you play all of your Tri-Ominos before your opponents, you win the round. If you and your opponents cannot play and you have the least amount of tiles, you win the round. To start a new round, turn all Tri-Ominos face down and mix them up. Play each round the same as the first.
Scoring and Winning
For every play you make, add the sum of your Tri-Omino's numbers. Score 10 bonus points if you start the round with the highest-value, three-like-number tile. If you start the round with a three-zeros tile, score 30 bonus points, plus the additional 10 bonus points. If you start with three zeros and also have the highest-value, three-like-number tile, show your opponents the tile so you can receive the additional 10 points.
Each time you pick a tile from the well, subtract five points from your score until you find a match. Subtract 10 points from your score and continue play if you have no match in your hand and the well has run dry.
If you play all of your tiles before anyone else and win the round, score 25 bonus points and the total sum of all tiles in your opponents' possession. Your opponents do not subtract those points from their score.
If no one can play and you have the least amount of tiles left, add to your score the sum of all numbers on each of your opponents' tiles. However, you score no bonus points. Add the sum of all numbers on any tiles you had left in the round and subtract that total from your score.
If you reach 400 points before your opponents, you win the game. Should you reach 400 during a round, continue play until you complete the round. If you and an opponent pass 400 during a round, and you win that round, you win the game.
Bonus Scoring
You have the opportunity to earn additional bonus points. Match all three numbers of a Tri-Omino and form a closed hexagon (six sides), and score 50 points. Match a tile and form a bridge matching one side of a tile and the point of an opposite tile, and score 40 points.
Earn an additional 40 bonus points if you match a bridging tile and one side of another tile.
