USA Quiz
The USA Quiz is an easy introduction to USA geography and a game that any child can play. There's a map of the United States with each state in a different color. The quiz has fifty questions--yes, you guessed it: Where is "x" state? You roll the mouse over the map and click on the state you think is "x". The game will either let you try again if you're wrong, or if you're correct, it will tell you to click on the next question. You get three points for each correct answer; a perfect score is 150.
The website includes games for USA major cities and for state capitals. (There are also world geography games available on this site.)

Geography Game: USA
"Geography Game: USA", with its moving graphics and sound effects, will keep your child's attention and make learning the locations of the states fun.
The game opens with a brightly colored map of the United States. When you click on the map, a cartoon character flies across the screen in an airplane, towing a banner stamped with the name of a state. The state also appears in a box above the map. You click on the state that you think matches the name. Each click of the mouse triggers a "pong" or other musical sound. You can accumulate positive or negative scores depending on whether your guess is right or wrong. A "pause" button allows you to temporarily stop the game.

USA States Game
The USA States Game is a fun, interactive way to learn the locations of the states.
To start, the screen shows a colorful yellow outline of the United States, bordered by its bright green neighbors on the north and south, and blue oceans on the east and west. The map of the U.S. is blank--no states are shown.
An outline of a state appears at the top of the screen with the instructions: Place "x" on the map. You click on the outlined state and drag it to the proper location on the map. If you're correct, a voice says, "Good!" or "Right!" or some other positive response. If you're wrong, a voice groans, "Oh," and the program shows you the correct location. Your score is calculated by the number of perfect guesses out of number of turns, for example four perfect guesses out of five turns. The total number of turns is fifty.
