Things You'll Need
Instructions
Gather together magazines and photographs. You can also print images off the computer for your game.
Cut out at least 50 objects of various sizes, shapes and colors from the images.
Choose between five and 10 objects that the player will search for in the game. Arrange the objects on a large sheet of paper. Spread them out so they are not clumped into one location.
Write down the list of objects that are to be found. Keep this list and give it to players before they begin the game.
Place the additional objects onto the paper until the entire sheet is covered. Arrange the objects so that similar shapes are placed together. This will camouflage your hidden objects.
Arrange shapes of the same color away from each other. If the player is searching for a green umbrella, his eyes will try to locate spots of green in the game. Scattering green objects in different areas of the paper forces the player to search harder.
Place your hidden objects near groups of objects where it doesn't match. For example, place a pair of sandals near objects associated with a birthday like balloons and cake.
Overlap objects but don't fully cover any of the objects that need to be found.
Create an answer key to your hidden object game. Mark down where each object is located along with any objects that are near it in case you need to give hints to the player.
Glue the objects onto the paper. Start on one side of the paper and work your way across to prevent the pieces of the game from shifting around while you attach them. Allow the glue to fully dry.
Create additional games or give your completed game to someone to see how long it takes to find all the objects.
