Instructions

    • 1

Choose a material. You can use paper if you want something quick and easy, but cardboard will last longer.

    • 2

Decide how big you want each side to be. Each square will have this measurement for all sides. Two inches would be an easy place to start.

    • 3

Draw a square to use as the model for the sides of your dice. Measure carefully to be sure that all sides are equal. A T-square can ensure you are making 90-degree angles.

    • 4

Use the model to make a T shape. The top of the T should consist of three squares. The middle of the T should consist of four squares. One square in the middle counts both horizontally and vertically so that you have six squares total in your T.

    • 5

Cut the T out. You should now have only a T shape with the marks for six squares.

    • 6

Fold the vertical section of the T into a square. Attach with tape.

    • 7

Fold the horizontal squares of the T into the empty spaces. Use tape to finish creating a six-sided die.

    • 8

Mark with dots to represent the numbers. The numbers on opposite sides should add up to seven.
