- The Traveler IQ Challenge is one of the most popular geography games on the Internet. Players are given a location and a time limit in which to pinpoint it on the map. Points are given based upon time and accuracy. Players can choose specific regions of the world, UNESCO sites, or the world as a whole.

- Maps.com offers sixteen different Web-based geography games that are suitable for both children and adults. Games are broken down by continent, allowing for specific country knowledge banks to be built. There are also jig-saw puzzle types of games where players must "build" continents, country by country.
Fun Brain
- Funbrain.com is a website geared towards teaching children geography skills. Players can choose their game based on continent and skill levels that range from naming highlighted countries through multiple choice (Level One) to naming countries and spelling the capitals (Level Five).
Geosense
- Geosense is an online game where you compete against another online player to find geographical locations on a map. It is similar to the Traveler IQ Challenger.
