Matching
This game is similar to other matching games performed with cards. Several cards are made (using index cards or similar) with two cards for each numeral 1 to 12. Each pair of numerals includes one normal Western number on a single card, and its Roman numeral counterpart on the other. The cards are then shuffled and all placed in a grid, either face up or face down, depending on the style of game desired. Players must then match a pair on their turn. If the pair is correct, they keep the pair or else the cards are returned to their position in the grid. When all the cards are gone, the player with the most pairs wins.
Bingo
In this challenging variation on the popular Bingo game, a Bingo board is constructed like any other, using normal Western numerals. The range of these numbers can be the same as a normal Bingo game, 1 to 99, and an existing Bingo game kit can be used. But the numbers are called out in their Roman numeral form, or written on a space where all players can see. Since there is a time limit between each call-out, players must translate the numbers quickly in order to win.
Poo Bum Dickie
This is a humorous game with several variants. It is often played in the context of a drinking game, but that is not required. The players form a circle and must count up from the number 1 using Roman numerals, with each number recited by the next player. However, the classic letters of Roman numerals (i.e. "I', "V", "X", and so on) are replaced by the words "poo," "bum," and "dickie." The players must then recite the numerals using this substitution. For example, the number 3 would be recited as "poo poo poo." If anyone falters, they get penalized. In the drinking variation, this means the player must take a drink.
