Make a Christian Music Video
Teens love music videos. At the beginning of the night, play a Christian song from a popular band. The Newsboys, Hawk Nelson, Superchick and TobyMac are all Christian artists whose songs are always near the top of the chart. The students will have one hour to make their own music video of the song. Many students have laptops with built-in cameras with video-editing software and have created videos before. Encourage them to think outside the box and use their creativity. At the end of the night, have a "viewing party" complete with judges offering their "professional" opinions.
Bible Improv
Choose a story from the Bible about a teenager making a choice. This could be Joseph in Egypt, Queen Esther, Mary (the mother of Jesus) or King David facing a giant. Enlist a few teenagers to be actors up on stage. When you read them a modernized version of the story, their job is to improvise and act out the story. This is a great faith-building activity and an excellent way to move into a life lesson.
I Like People Who...
Have the group sit in a large circle with one person standing in the middle. The person in the middle calls out, "I like people who ---." They can say anything, they like people who wear socks, or people who ate oatmeal that day. The people who fall into that category stand up and try to fill in the gaps in the circle. Meanwhile, the announcer is trying to grab the seat as well. The last person to sit down (or who does not get a seat) is the announcer for the next round.
