Fun Games to Play at Pep Rallies

Pep rallies are special events that provide support and encouragement for school players before a big game. Students, teachers and alumni gather together to cheer the team on. Show team spirit for your school by getting audience involvement at your next pep rally with these fun and exciting games.
  1. Wrap Your Rival Game

    • Select several people from the audience. Divide them into groups of three. Pick one player from each group to represent the rival team. Provide the other two players with a roll of crepe paper in your school team's colors. Have a contest to see which group can wrap the player representing the rival team's entire body in crepe paper the fastest. Give the winning group small prizes imprinted with the school's logo and mascot such as key chains or mugs.

    Audience Art Game

    • Pick players from the audience to participate in the game. Split them into teams of four. Provide each team with stickers, crepe paper, markers, cardboard and other art supplies. Once you say "start," give the teams five minutes to create a team spirit creation with the art supplies. After the five minutes are up, go around to each team and ask the audience to cheer for the team who they think made the best team spirit creation. The team who receives the loudest cheers from the audience wins the game. Reward the winning team with school-themed prizes.

    Orange Pass Game

    • Choose eight players from each grade level and form them into four teams. Provide each team with an orange. Line each team up shoulder to shoulder. The players must pass the orange down the line --using only their necks. Disqualify players who use other parts of their body to pass the orange. Make teams who drop the orange start all over again. The team who properly passes the orange down the line the fastest is the winning team.
