Dress Up and Makeover
Dress up and makeover games are some of the most popular online games for girls. My Scene has several makeover and dress-up games on its site. The Barbie makeover game "Snip N Style Salon" has two functions, one in which you are given a hairstyle to emulate in a certain amount of time and another where you create your own hairstyle on your model. If you don't get the model hairstyle correct in the first game, you have to try again. Both mini-games give you the option of printing after you're done.
"Shopping Spree," featuring My Scene girls, allows you to pick a theme, from "Secret Locker" to "Mall Maniac." You then choose two "friends" to go shopping with, and get to choose clothes and accessories for your friends. Once you've chosen, your friends will model your choices and you'll have the options of printing or trying again with either the same theme or different ones.
"Dazzling Nails," another game with the My Scene characters, lets you give a My Scene girl a manicure. Besides choosing nail colors from an array of sparkly polishes, you can also choose your model's size of nail and decorate her with rings, stickers and gems.
Arcade
My Scene also has a section for arcade games. "Diamond Castle Rocks" is an online "Guitar Hero"-style game featuring Barbie. You can choose either a quick game or a full game; the quick game is only one song, and the full game is three songs. You can also choose to play at an easy, medium or hard difficulty; select your song; and which style of guitar you want. Click on the notes as they come toward you, and if you hit them correctly and in time, you win.
Sport
"Create N Skate with Barbie" is a sports game that lets you choose a song and routine for Barbie to skate to. You pick the moves for your skater to do and then choose some lighting effects. In the end, you can play the show and watch the routine you've made.
