Two Player Cooking Games

Cooking games have taken the video game world by storm. There are now a variety of types of cooking video games available for Playstation and Wii that allow multiple players to perform cooking activities such as cooking dinner, baking cakes, competing in international baking challenges and even managing a restaurant chain.
  1. Cooking Mama

    • The Cooking Mama series is a group of two-player cooking games designed by Majesco for Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The original Cooking Mama, Cooking Mama 2 and Cooking Mama 3 are available on the Nintendo DS, but only one player can play at a time. However, on the Wii, these games allow two players to have their turn in the kitchen. The Cooking Mama games for Wii, such as Cooking Mama: Cook Off and Cooking Mama World Kitchen transform the Wii remote into a variety of cooking utensils. Use the Wii remote to chop, roll, stir and grate as you make your way through challenges in the kitchen. There are a variety of levels and recipes so that both players can be challenged, and in Cooking Mama: Cook Off, the players can go head-to-head to compete for the gold medal given by Cooking Mama herself.

    Iron Chef America

    • Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine is based on the popular Food Network TV show Iron Chef America. Once again, in this game the Wii remote is used as the primary kitchen utensil. You can also purchase a separate Wii cooking kit, which includes a spatula, frying pan, and tongs that attach to the remote and help you simulate the cooking action. You can play this game by yourself or incorporate a friend or family member to face off against celebrity judges in the ultimate cooking challenge. Similar to the show, in this game you are given an ingredient theme, and you must create the best dishes that use this ingredient.

    Cake Mania

    • Cake Mania: In the Mix is a sequel to the original computer game made for Windows systems, and later developed for Nintendo DS. Cake Mania: In the Mix, allow up to four players to play at once, taking customer orders, and baking, frosting, decorating, and serving cakes. Use your Wii remote to stir, spoon and frost, choosing from a variety of decorating tools on screen to make the best looking cakes around. Make your own creations and offer your own seasonal cakes for special holidays, as well.
