Object
In corn hole, each player or team (in doubles) has four bean bags. The goal is to throw the bag into a hole cut into the opponent's raised, slanted platform.
Scoring
Any throw that goes into the hole is worth three points, and a bag that remains on the platform at the end of the "inning" is worth one point. The first team to reach 21 points is the winner.
The platform
The scoring platform is a wooden box that is 48 inches long by 24 inches wide. There is also a hole six inches in diameter in the middle of the board, centered nine inches from the top and 12 inches from the edge. The front of the platform is between 2-1/2 to 4 inches high while the back edge is 12 inches high.
Field set up
Each player's platform should be laid out facing each other with the front edges 27 feet apart. There is a four foot by three foot "pitching box" on either side of the platform from which the player must stand to throw their bag.
Throwing the bag
There is no regulation on how the corn bag must be thrown (such as overhand, underhand, etc.) However, if the corn bag hits the ground before reaching the platform, it is dead and is worth zero points.
