Homemade Angel Ouija Boards

An angel ouija board is just another name for a ouija board. All ouija boards (or oracle boards) are designed essentially the same with minor variations as desired. All are used for the same purpose, to contact the other side and speak with spiritual guides. Regardless of the board used, there is no guarantee that the entity who responds will be an angel.
  1. Making Angel Ouija Cards

    • An angel ouija board, like any other type of ouija board, does not have to be an actual board. The simplest design is to create a deck of cards and spread them out in a circle. Cards can be handmade on the back of index cards. Or use a pretty font and print out large letters, spaced apart for cutting, on sheets of card stock. Generally, you will want a card for each letter of the alphabet. Additionally, most ouija boards have cards for "yes" and "no." Beyond this, a "board" may have, if desired, the numbers from 0 to 9. It's also common to have "good bye", which could be written on another card. Some boards contain other key words in contacting spirits, such as "spirit", "guardian", "lost soul" and "angel" to help identify the entity contacted. Any of these can also be made into cards. Now arrange the lettered and, if used, numbered cards on a table in a circle. Inside the circle place the word cards. If only using "yes" and "no" and "goodbye", you can put "yes" and "no" on opposite sides with "goodbye" centered on the bottom of the circle. If using spiritual entity cards, perhaps put the "yes" and "no" together on one side, one over the other, and on the opposite side make a column with the entity cards. The classic planchette for this sort of board is an overturned wine glass. Many add a piece of silver to the top of the glass to protect the questioner from any spirits who may answer. Make sure word cards inside the circle are not so close to the lettered card that the glass planchette cannot glide between them to reach the letters.

    Making a Physical Board

    • If you want a physical board, you can make one with a bit more work. Use a piece of thin plywood cut to the desired size, or make the board on a piece of sturdy cardboard. If using real wood, be sure to sand it down smooth. On wood, you can paint the letters, numbers and desired words. You could also print them on sheets and put the sheets together, then glue down and shellac over them, making the board by decoupage. If using cardboard, markers and craft paint will do. In either case, you can add in art to your board, giving it a personal touch. While any art you desire can be used, you might consider adding in angels and heavenly images to entice angels to answer your call. Whatever you do, make sure the finished product, whatever the base, is smooth so that the planchette can glide over it.
