Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cover your workspace with newspapers or another dropcloth.
Slide the jigsaw puzzle slowly onto a piece of cardboard. Nudge it gently off of the edge of the table and onto the cardboard 1 inch at a time. At this point, it does not matter what size the cardboard is. You simply want to get the puzzle onto a cardboard surface in order to apply the adhesive.
Lay the cardboard with the puzzle on top of it onto the newspaper or dropcloth. Spray it immediately with the spray adhesive. Once it is dry, slide the cardboard out from under it. Lay the cardboard on top of it and flip it over. The back of the puzzle should be facing up.
Brush cream puzzle glue adhesive to the back of the jigsaw puzzle. Use gentle strokes and generously cover the entire puzzle. Allow it to dry.
Measure the size of the jigsaw puzzle while it is drying. Use a craft knife to cut a thin piece of cardboard backing for the frame. Clean the glass of the frame and attach the hanger while the puzzle is drying, to save time.
Lay the frame face-down onto the work table. Transfer the dried jigsaw puzzle to the frame by using the same cardboard method used in Step 2. Use the same cardboard piece used to slide the puzzle from the table to the workspace. Slide the jigsaw puzzle -- in one large piece now -- from the workspace to the frame. Lay the puzzle face-down onto the non-glare glass.
Fit the measured cardboard piece into the frame behind the puzzle.
Press the staple gun into one corner. Rest the staple gun against the cardboard and hold the head of the gun firmly against the frame's wood while pressing the trigger. Apply a staple into each corner and press two staples into each side of the frame.
Apply framing tape or masking tape all the way around the edges of the cardboard on the back of the frame. This will help seal out dust and debris.
Set the frame on an artist's easel for an attractive display in any room.
