How to Put Together a 3D Adam's Apple Jigsaw

The 3D Adam's Apple jigsaw puzzle is a puzzle with interlocking pieces that you assemble to create a realistic looking apple. Three dimensional puzzles offer a different kind of challenge than a two dimensional jigsaw puzzle because they require you to use spatial relations when you solve them. If you follow a few simple steps, you will be able to solve the Adam's Apple jigsaw puzzle in no time.

Instructions

    • 1

Sort the 50 pieces of the Adam's apple puzzle. Because the apple will have a symmetrical shape, there will be two identical pieces for each half of the apple. Match the identical pieces and place them in pairs.

    • 2

Work from the outside of the puzzle inward. The sides of the apple will be the smallest pieces and will interlock to form the rounded sides of the apple. The sides will have small dimples in them, so they are readily identifiable.

    • 3

Interlock the successively larger puzzle pieces until you reach the middle of the apple, then work your way back to the other side of the puzzle. Look at the edges of the puzzle pieces; smooth edges will go in a uniform direction. If a piece does not seem to fit, set it aside; the pieces will fit together snugly.

    • 4

Take the stem of the apple and slide it into place once you have assembled the body of the apple. The stem is a long rod that inserts into the core of the apple and holds the two sides in place; only part of the stem and the leaf will be visible when inserted correctly into the puzzle.
