How Can I Turn a Picture Into a Puzzle?

Jigsaw puzzles are an opportunity for fun and relaxation, for children and adults alike. It is even more interesting when the theme is compelling, such as a celebrity, a sports team or --- even better --- a family member. Celebrity and sports jigsaw puzzles are also available on the market, but for more options, and as a way to add personal photos, you can combine your Internet browsing skills and craft skills to provide your family or friends with a one-of-a-kind puzzle.

Instructions

    • 1

Scan the picture on your computer (if it's on paper), download it from the Internet or copy it from your camera. You need to have a copy of the picture stored on your hard drive for this task.

    • 2

Display the picture on your computer screen, using Adobe Photoshop Essentials. If the picture is in a rare format not recognized by Photoshop, convert it using a program such as Pixillion.

    • 3

Go to the filter option and click on "Texturize." Press "Load Textures" and select the puzzle one. Adjust the size of the puzzle pieces, save the image and print it.

    • 4

Glue the picture on a piece of cardboard. The cardboard needs to be thick, so the puzzle pieces stay together.

    • 5

Cut the edges around the picture and make sure it is firmly glued on the cardboard. Then carefully cut out the pieces of the puzzle.
