Scary Maze Pop-up Games for Kids

Games featuring creepy characters, such as ghosts, witches and horror-movie villains, may put the scare in kids, though scary maze pop-up games may bring even bigger scares -- and perhaps laughs. In these computer games, players turn on their speakers and try to complete mazes as hair-raising images and sounds suddenly pop up. Kids play scary maze pop-up games to give themselves a jolt and play pranks on others.
  1. Blue-Object Games

    • Kids encounter one of horror's most frightening icons in "The Maze," found at Winterrowd. Using their mouse to navigate a blue square through a maze, players try to avoid touching or going outside the maze walls. Kids restart levels if they end up outside the maze path. Once players reach the end of the maze, the next level instantly begins. The game ends when a possessed Linda Blair -- from horror classic "The Exorcist" -- pops up out of nowhere.
Random scary images pop up in "Scariest Maze Game," found at Mochimedia. Kids guide a blue square through the maze and instantly start the next level upon reaching the end of the maze. A screaming zombie pops up out of nowhere in "Scary Japanese Maze," found at Scary for Kids. Players guide a blue circle through the maze and click "Goal" upon reaching the end of the maze.

    Red-Object Games

    • Players encounter random chilling sights and sounds in "Scary Maze Game DX," found at Razoric. Kids use their mouse to move a red square through the maze. When scary images pop up, the game continues as long as the red square stays within the maze path. A scary character pops up when players hit a maze wall in "Scary Maze Gold," found at Scary Games Now. In this game, kids use their mouse to move the red circle through mazes.

    Mouse-Pointer Games

    • A frightening image greets kids once they reach the end of the maze in "Scary Maze," found at Scary Kids Games. Players use the mouse to move the mouse pointer through the maze and must restart the level if the pointer ends up outside the maze path. Upon clicking the red dot at the end of the maze, kids see the scary character.

    Non-Pointer Games

    • A baby chick tries to find the end to a white maze in "Scary Maze 3 with Sticky Chicky," found at Game Serpent. Rather than use the mouse, kids press the directional arrow keys to move Chicky and find a way out of the maze. Chicky sticks to maze walls if players bump into them. A skeleton image appearing out of the blue signifies that kids have escaped the maze.
