Paper Games
Print a Santa Claus Bingo board by printing the word ̶0;Claus̶1; across the top of the bingo board instead of the word ̶0;Bingo.̶1; When you call out the numbers, say ̶0;C 2̶1; or ̶0;S 55̶1; instead of ̶0;B 2̶1; or ̶0;O 55.̶1; Alternatively, make bingo boards with pictures of Santa-related items like Santa, Mrs. Claus, a sleigh, bag full or toys and reindeer. The first child to bingo and yell ̶0;Merry Christmas̶1; wins the game and a prize. Another idea is to write ̶0;Santa Claus̶1; across the top of several sheets of paper. Give one sheet to each child. Set a timer for two minutes and tell the children they must come up with as many words as they can using only the letters from the words ̶0;Santa Claus.̶1; The child who comes up with the most words wins the game.
Hunt Games
Create a hunting game using pieces of Santa̵7;s outfit. Hide Santa̵7;s belt, beard, shirt, pants, boots and hat all around in the play area. Give each child one minute to find as many items as he can. The child who finds the most items wins the game. Another idea is to hide two of each item and divide the children into two teams. Have each teams to try to find the complete Santa outfit. The team to find Santa̵7;s complete outfit first wins the game.
Tossing Games
Scatter red plastic pails upright on the floor and write a point value on each pail. Children can take turns trying to toss Santa Claus beanbags into the pails. If you cannot find Santa beanbags, simply draw a picture of Santa on red or white beanbags. Give each child 10 tosses and the child who scores the most points wins the game. Alternatively, draw a picture of a sleigh on a large poster board and tape it to the bottom of a cardboard box. Cut out a hole in the middle of the sleigh and lean the box against a wall. Have the children try to toss the Santa beanbags into the sleigh.
Balloon Games
Divide the children into two teams and give each team a large Santa suit. Have one child from each team put on the Santa suit. Give each team several inflated red balloons. When you say ̶0;Go,̶1; the children must stuff as many balloons as they can into their team̵7;s Santa suit. If a balloon pops, it does not count. The team who has the most balloons stuffed in the suit after two minutes wins the game. If you do not have Santa suits, simply use large red sweat suits.
