Things You'll Need
Instructions
Sand one side of the medium density fiberboard sheet as smooth as possible, using the 200-grit sandpaper.
Glue the 2-by-2-foot pieces to the edges of the MDF sheet with the carpenter's glue. Cut out a 6-inch section of the center of both end pieces. These are the goal openings.
Leave at least 1 inch of the sides and ends above the surface level of the MDF sheet to serve as bumpers.
Measure off and tape three 1-inch thick lines on the MDF sheet. You will have two pieces of tape per line. One bisects the sheet, with the other two bisecting each remaining half evenly.
Paint a red stripe at center "ice" along the tape. Similarly, paint one blue stripe in both attacking zones. When complete, you are left with one blue line bisecting the first third of the NOK hockey board surface, the centered red line, and another blue line in the other zone. Peel off the tape when the paint is dry. Follow the manufacturer's directions for drying times.
Add two coats of polyurethane to the board to protect the paint and the NOK hockey surface.
