How to Customize a Starter Deck on the Game Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D

Imagine having the power to control monsters and wield traps against your opponents. Those abilities are what players of the "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D" card game possess. Players use cards with various powers to attack and defend against their opponent's card deck. When players first begin collecting "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D" cards, starter decks are used to help them create a well-balanced deck with monster, trap and spell cards. Players can customize their starter decks to include the cards they like using the most.

  Go to a local hobby or comic book store that sells "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D" card sets. The card sets can also be found in many chain stores, but visiting a hobby store that specializes in the trading cards will allow you to speak with customer service representatives who may have extensive knowledge of the card decks.

  Review the card deck packages to see which cards are available in each pack. The packs will not tell you exactly every card that is available, but the labeling and information on the back will tell you which types of cards may be present. Starter decks can be built around a specific monster type, such as the "Tune Warrior," which will let you know what other cards to expect in the deck.

  Purchase three to five "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D" starter decks to give yourself enough variety among the card types to pick from. Again, speak to the customer service representative for more information on the available packs.

  Customize your card deck by mixing in monster, trap and spell cards from all the starter decks that you purchased from the hobby store. Be sure to include cards that work well together, such as the "Tune Warrior" and the "Warrior Returning Alive" cards. Review your card deck to make sure you have a good mix of cards before challenging opponents.
