How to Create Noisemakers for Games

Noisemakers can be a great addition to games and sporting events to add to the fun and excitement of the environment. They can also be used for birthdays and for holidays, such as New Year's Eve. Make the noisemakers from plastic cup tumblers, decorating the outside with paint, stickers, stencils or other items. They are sure to be a big hit!

Things You'll Need

2 plastic tumblers
Small items to fill shaker
Craft tape
Paint
Paintbrush

Instructions

  Fill one plastic tumbler with small noise-making items, such as candy, rice, bells, stones, dice or other small hard objects. The items should take up about one-third of the space in the tumbler.

  Place the second tumbler on top of the first to make a solid enclosure. Tape the tumblers together with craft tape.

  Apply paint with your paintbrush to the outside of the tumbler. Make a colorful design, a meaningful picture for the game or some other artistic expression.

  Allow the paint to dry before using the noisemaker.
