How to Make Cardboard Recycled Games for Kids

According to the EPA, in 2009 each person in the United States produced approximately 4.3 pounds of waste per day, which equaled 243 million tons of garbage. A cardboard recycled game for kids would reduce landfills and save trees. A ring toss game uses old cardboard rolls from paper towels or toilet paper and cardboard from a box. Glue the parts together and toss cardboard rings to work on your child's coordination skills.

Things You'll Need

1 large round pot lid
Cardboard from an old box
Pencil
1 medium round pot lid
Scissors
3 cardboard tubes
Markers

Instructions

  Trace a large round pot lid on cardboard from an old box with a pencil. Trace a medium-sized round pot lid in the center of the first circle.

  Cut out the lines to form a ring with scissors. Repeat the tracing and cutting to create at least six rings.

  Decorate your cardboard tubes with markers. Instruct the children to decorate them as they see fit. The rings are tossed onto these tubes.

  Trace the medium-sized round pot lid on another piece of cardboard three times for each cardboard roll. Cut out the circle and decorate with markers. These are the bases for the tubes.

  Trace a cardboard roll into the center of each circle for the base. Cut out the tracing and push each roll into its base. Toss the rings onto the rolls with their base for the game.
