Bible Verse Games
Copy Bible verses onto note cards by writing one word on each card. Make several sets and divide the players into two teams. Hide two different verses around the room, one on one side of the room and the other verse on the other side of the room. Have each team hunt for all the words to their verse. After they find all the words, they must put the verse in the correct order. The first team to do this wins the game. If you have a large group and enough space, divide the children into three or four teams. Alternatively, hide one verse and have all the children work together.
Trivia Games
Divide the Bible class into two teams. Ask each team a question about Jesus' birth. Question examples include "What town was Jesus born in" and "Who was the King that ordered baby Jesus be killed?" A team has one minute to come up with the answer. If they guess correctly, they earn a point. If not, the other team has 10 seconds to guess the correct answer for a point. The first team to earn 10 points wins the game. Change up the trivia questions by asking questions about the books of the Bible or Noah's Ark.
Singing Games
Inflate several balloons and divide the kids into two teams. Give each team five balloons and have them practice keeping the balloons in the air. Tell the children to sing Bible songs while hitting the balloons in the air. If a team allows a balloon to touch the ground, they lose. Make the game more difficult by adding a balloon to each team's circle every 30 seconds. Some songs the children can sing include "Jesus Loves Me," "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" and "This Little Light of Mine."
Trust Games
Have the children split into teams of two. Blindfold one child and have him stand across the room from his partner. The partner must use verbal commands the lead the child across the room. Tell the children they must trust their partner to guide them safely across the room in the same way they trust God. Add soft foam noodles or cones all over the floor to make the path more difficult to cross. Allow the children to keep playing this game until they make it to their partner without running into anything along the way.
