Things You'll Need
Instructions
Search around the house for a good place to build your fort. Look for a place against a wall or behind the couch. You'll want to find a site that you won't mind housing a fort for at least a couple of days, so don't choose the living room if you're going to want it tidy the next day.
Line two couch cushions vertically on edge and place another flat on top to secure them to create one corner entrance for your fort. Build the other end of the corner entrance using the rest of the couch cushions.
Set one end table behind each couch cushion column. You should now have an outline of the space being used for the fort.
Duct tape one end of a sheet to the wall or the back of the couch and drape it over one side of the fort. The end table and couch cushions will hold it up. Duct tape the other sheet in a similar way, draping it over the other side of the fort so that the entire space is covered with a sheet canopy.
Line the inside floor of the fort with two comforters and set bed pillows along the walls, or use them as seating.
Plug in a strand of Christmas lights and drape them over the bed sheets along the roof. Place the flashlight inside the fort for extra lighting.
