Things You'll Need
Instructions
Find a large open wall to be the back of your fort, and pick a large, heavy blanket for your ceiling and walls.
Stretch out your blanket, and attach the center of the bottom edge to the center of the wall using thumbtacks or painter's tape. Be sure to check with your parents before pushing thumbtacks or tape on the wall. Determine the width in which the blanket can be attached to the wall and still allow the blanket to drape to the floor on either side. Then, attach either side to the wall (spacing evenly on either side of the middle attachment), allowing the sides to hang down.
Set your TV trays (one on either side) out away from the wall, far enough that the blanket will hang down to the floor once draped over the trays. They should be set the same distance apart as your wall attachments.
Move the trays forward to where the blanket just reaches the floor in the front. This will give you more room inside the fort and allow easier access in through the front.
Secure the blanket on the TV trays by placing a heavy book on top of the blanket on each tray. Alternatively, if your trays are close enough to the wall, you can pinch the blanket between the wall and the tray.
Stock your fort with everything you'll need for your stay: pillows, flashlight, snacks, games and so on.
