World Treasures
On the official Pepperidge Farm Goldfish website is a game called World Treasures that is free to play. In it, you are tasked with traveling to four cities around the world to retrieve some souvenirs that Swimmington the Goldfish has lost. You start with a clue that, once solved, determines which of the cities you visit first. Visiting each city in turn gives you the chance to collect all the missing items and win the game.
Paint Dodger
Paint Dodger is another online game on the Goldfish website. In it, you have to help Swimmington again. This time, he needs help jumping from paint brush to paint brush using the up, down and side arrow keys. The goal is to get to each paint brush without getting splattered by falling paint from the tubes at the top of the screen. If you reach the final paint brush at the top of the game, you get to the next level.
Goldfish Math
This game is played using a bag of your favorite variety of Goldfish crackers. Have a piece of paper and ask your child to pick a number from one to 10 and hold it up using his fingers. Say the number out loud and have your child write it down on the paper. Place that same number of goldfish next to the number, which helps that child with a concept known as one-to-one correspondence. It helps him link numbers to an actual visual of how many that number is, which will help him with math skills later.
Goldfish Password
On a piece of paper, lay down two separate groups of goldfish crackers. Ask your child to count how many are in each group. Then, ask her to add the two groups together. This number is the "password." If she gets the number correct, she has the right password and wins all the goldfish to eat. You can also have other prizes available instead of the goldfish if you desire. Make sure the child adds everything up mentally instead of writing it down, as this is more of a challenge.
