Easy Crafts
Print pictures of Daisy Girl Scout paper dolls from the Internet. Give each girl a picture to color. The girls can use markers and crayons to color their pictures. Ask the girls to write their names on the pictures and hang them up, or let the girls take the pictures home. You can also print a picture of the Girl Scout promise badge, which is a hand with the thumb and pinky finger touching. Teach the girls the words of the Girl Scout promise and have them color the badge.
Daisy Bingo Games
Fill a bingo card with the names of the girls from the Daisy troop. Give each girl a bingo card and a bowl of candies. Randomly call out the names of the girls and have them mark their bingo cards with the candy. The first girl to bingo and yell, "I love the Daisy Girl Scouts" wins a prize. This activity will also help the girls to learn each other's names. You can also make bingo cards with Daisy-related words, such as cookies, Girl Scout promise, Daisy, Girl Scout law, girl and friendly.
Daisy Crafts
Draw or print a large daisy flower head on a sheet of cardstock. Write each girl's name on a sheet and hang it on the wall. Tell the girls each time they do something nice for someone or show responsibility, you will tell them to go color in one petal of the flower. The girls can take their pictures home when the entire flower head is colored. For another idea, do the same thing with fabric markers and white T-shirts. The girls can take their shirts home when they are finished.
Daisy Songs
The girls can sing Daisy Girl Scout songs to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot," as stated by the Girl Scouts website. One song goes: "We are Daisy Girl Scouts, short and sweet, Here are our hands and here are our feet, If you need a helper just give a call, And we will come running one and all." Another song idea to the same tune is: "We are Daisy Girl Scouts and we are neat, Here are our hands and here are our feet, When we get together we all say, 'Let's have fun the Girl Scout way.'"
