How to Make Bingo Boards

One of the most common games played in United States classrooms and at children's birthday parties is bingo, but the origins of the game can actually be traced back to 1530 and the Italian game Lo Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia. While you can purchase bingo boards at your local board game store, creating the boards on your computer is a simple process if you have word processing software installed.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your word processor and a new blank document.

    • 2

Create tables within the document that have five columns and six rows. You should be able to find the "Create table" function within the "Tools" menu of your word processor. The number of tables you make depends on the number of people who will be playing the game.

    • 3

Type each letter of "BINGO" in a different cell in the top row of the table. Type "FREE" in the middle square of the table.

    • 4

Type random numbers between 1 and 15 in the cells under the "B" column of each table. Type random numbers between 16 and 30 under the "I" column of each table. Type random numbers between 31 and 45 under the "N" column of each table. Type random numbers between 46 and 60 under the "G" column of each table. Type random numbers between 61 and 75 under the "O" column in each table. Check each of the tables to ensure that the numbers under each column are not the same as those under the same column in any of the other tables.

    • 5

Save the document and then print it on computer paper. You may choose to use a heavier-stock paper to ensure the boards aren't easily damaged.

    • 6

Cut out each bingo board once the document has finished printing.
