Things You'll Need
Instructions
Collect the objects that you are going to use for your obstacle course. Hula hoops, tires, cones, large boxes and crates are all examples of good materials.
Design your course by placing each station along a predetermined path. Have the kids crawling through boxes, jumping over bars, zig-zagging through cones or hopping from tire to tire.
Create small signs and arrows that will direct the kids through the tasks. Arrows will let the kids know which obstacle to go to next. Once they arrive at an obstacle, a simple direction like "Over" will let them know what they are supposed to do.
Designate a start and finish line. Hang crate paper between two trees or a doorway so that the kids can run though it when they finish.
Supervise your kids as they run the course. With kids hopping, climbing, running and jumping someone needs to make sure none of them gets hurt.
