Marvel Super Hero Squad Games for Kids

The Marvel Super Hero Squad includes popular heroes such as Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man. When planning a birthday party or social gathering for children who love fighting the forces of evil while donning a cape, create a few entertaining games that incorporate the superheroes. Awarding Marvel Super Hero Squad-themed prizes, such as toys, temporary tattoos and stickers, to all game winners will keep the children ready for the next game.
  1. Hulk Games

    • Have all the children do jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups and run in place. After a couple of minutes, tell the children they are going to show off their muscles like the Hulk. Ask each child to give his best impersonation of the Hulk, while showing off his muscles. Award prizes to the best, most creative and scariest Hulk impersonations. For another Hulk game, create an obstacle course. Use chairs for the children to climb under, ropes to jump over, hula-hoops to crawl through and foam noodles as balance beams. Time the children and award prizes to the fastest times.

    Captain America Games

    • Mark a starting line and run-to line 25 feet apart and divide the children into two teams. When you say "Go," the children must run to the run-to line and back to tag the next player in line. Each player in line must run to the run-to line and back. The team who finishes first wins the game. For another variation, give each team a foam noodle to resemble a "Captain America" weight bar. The teams must run to the run-to line, yell, "I am Captain America" and run back to the starting line to hand off the noodle to the next player in line. Each player must do the same thing. The first team to finish the race wins the game.

    Iron Man Games

    • Put a spin on the classic "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" with a "Pin the Mask on Iron Man." Hang a large poster of Iron Man on the wall and print several pictures of Iron Man's mask. Write each child's name on a mask and place double-sided tape on the back of the mask. Blindfold each child and spin her three times. Tell her to pin the mask on Iron Man. The child who pins the mask closest to the correct spot wins the game. For another Iron Man game, ask the kids to sit in a circle and give one child a plush Iron Man toy. Play music and tell them to pass Iron Man around the circle. When the music stops, the child holding the Iron Man is out of the game. Keep playing, eliminating a player each round. The last player remaining in the game wins the Iron Man toy.

    All Marvel Super Hero Games

    • Besides the popular Marvel Super Heroes, include all the superheroes such as Ms. Marvel, Wolverine, Silver Surfer, Reptil, Falcon and Thor into a few games. Plastic miniature Marvel Super Hero dolls are available online and at many toy stores. Hide the superheroes all over the play area and award a prize to the child who finds the most superheroes. All the kids can take the heroes they find home as a memento of the party or gathering. For another idea, divide the players into teams and designate a certain hero to each team. The first team to find all their superheroes wins the game.
