How to Make Baseball Games for Church Activities

Most people know the basic rules of baseball; they grew up watching it or playing it or both. Many have also grown up playing hybrid games such as kickball, softball, pinball baseball, pitching games, dice-based games and even poker. If you have ever been to a carnival or state fair, you will have seen two pitching-based games that have been mainstays of such events for years. If you are planning a social event for your church, these games can provide an entertaining activity for young and old alike.

Instructions

  1. Baseball Throw

    • 1

Place the bar stool on a hard, flat surface. It should be positioned in front of a wall or some other barrier.

    • 2

Arrange the aluminum milk cans on top of the bar stool, placing two side by side and balancing the third bottle on top of the other two.

    • 3

Use the three rubber baseballs to attempt to knock down the aluminum milk cans.

    Bean Bag Toss

    • 4

Place the plywood on a work bench. Use the jigsaw to cut several holes in random positions into the plywood. Do not worry if the holes are not perfectly round. Unusual shapes can make the game more challenging.

    • 5

Paint circles around each of the holes with a paint brush and red paint.

    • 6

Paint numbers next to the holes to denote how many points each target is worth.

    • 7

Lean the board against a wall so that the face is angled upward at about 45 degrees.

    • 8

Toss the three bean bags at each hole. Try to score as many points as you can.
