Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a 3/4-inch wide PVC pipe at a length of 6 to 8 inches.
Draw out three parallelogram-shaped cardboard pieces. Measure the top and bottom of the pieces at 4 inches in length. Measure the right and left sides at 3 inches in height. The parallelogram-shaped cardboard pieces will act as jart feathers.
Use an Exacto-knife or a serated blade precision knife to slice three, 4-inch long openings into the bottom end of the pipe. Space out the openings evenly around the surface of the pipe. Use extreme caution when cutting into the PVC. Clamp the pipe down with a vice, if necessary, to keep the PVC steady as you work.
Slide each feather at least 1/4 inch into its respective PVC opening. Apply a layer of permanent epoxy to each side of the feather -- where the feather and outer PVC surface are flush -- for extra hold and support.
Apply a thick layer of permanent epoxy to one end of the pipe. Firmly press and hold a small rubber or plastic ball onto the glue. Hold the ball in place for 60 seconds before releasing pressure. The ball will act as the tip of the jart.
