Boy Games for Kids

If you have ever lived or been in a house filled with little boys, you know that the old saying, "frogs, snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of," is true. When choosing games for little boys to play, make sure that you incorporate three important things: physical activity, imagination and, most importantly, fun.
  1. Dragon Dress Up

    • Little boys love dragons. So why not help them transform into one? By using a green or black eyeliner pencil, you can draw scales, horns and long fangs onto their faces. Once the physical alterations have been made, stand back and watch their imaginations take over. Encourage them to growl, pretend to blow fire and fly around the room. This activity can be used with any type of animal, from alligators to zebras.

    The Wave Game

    • The game of Hide and Seek and Freeze Tag are played by millions of children around the world. This game incorporates both. Begin the game by choosing one person to be "it." Follow the rules of hide and seek. The "it" person counts to 20 while everyone else hides. When the "it" person finds someone, they call out the players name and sends them to jail. The remaining hiders try to set their fellow player free by waving at them. This continues until all the players have been caught.

    Water Balloon War

    • Fill up a bucket with at least 50 water balloons. These will go much quicker than you think. Separate the players into two teams. Make sure that every player understands that it is against the rules to throw any water balloons directly at another player's head or face. This will save you the headache of dealing with unnecessary tears. Count down to start the game and find cover from the flying water balloons.

    Kitchen Rock Band

    • This game is loud, so you may want to purchase a pair of ear plugs. Find a nice flat area on your kitchen floor and have the little rock stars sit down. Bring out multiple pots and pans from your kitchen cabinets, using different sizes. The different sizes will create different sounds. Give each player a large cooking utensil to use as a drum stick; wooden spoons and plastic spatulas work well. Request a song for the band to play. Then sit back and enjoy the music.
