Copycat Faces
Tear out a picture in a magazine that has a particularly expressive model in an advertisement. Show the copycat partner the photo and ask her to mimic the same exact facial expression. This activity can lead to a discussion about the model's emotions. Create a scenario to explain why he or she might feel these emotions.
Sing-Along Songs
Select a catchy song that everyone participating in the copycat game knows. Choose a leader and allow them to begin singing the song in a call-and-response fashion. The rest of the group or partner -- if only two people are participating -- will respond with the same lyrics. This activity will loosen-up participants. Give everyone a chance to be the leader and select their favorite song.
Dance Mimic
Similar to the sing-along, copycat games with dances keep participants active and can teach them new dances to show their friends. Keep everyone's physical abilities in mind when selecting a dance tempo and style, to ensure everyone has fun. To add another layer of learning, gather dances from different parts of the world and incorporate cultural discussions as you practice this copycat activity.
Twin Day
Dress in the same clothes as a friend to make an all day copycat activity. Eat the same foods, walk the same way, talk in similar ways and tell all the same jokes. This can be a bonding activity for two friends. If more friends wish to join, consider having a triplets or quadruplets day.
