Indiana Jones Games for Kids

When planning a party or social gathering for adventure-loving kids, consider an Indiana Jones-themed party with entertaining games. Games will keep the children busy, prevent boredom and help introduce them to new friends. A few supplies, game ideas and some swashbuckling spirit are all you need to create memorable Indiana Jones-themed games your guests will be talking about for weeks to come.
  1. Thread the Snake

    • Divide the children into two teams and have the teams stand in straight lines. Give the first player in each team line a long rope. When you say "Go," the first player must thread the rope down his shirt and hand it to the next player in line. Each player must thread the rope down his shirt. The first team to thread the rope all the way to the last player in line wins the game. For a more difficult game, have the player thread the rope down their shirt and pants.

    Indiana Jones Relay Race

    • Split the players into two equal teams and have them line up at a starting line. Mark a run-to line 20 feet from the starting line. Give the first player in each team line a fedora hat, a toy whip and a bandanna. When you say, "Race," the first two players in line must put on all the Indiana Jones accessories and race to the run-to line. They then must race back and hand the accessories to the next player in line. Each player must put on the accessories, race to the run-to line and back. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.

    Scavenger Hunt

    • Hide Indiana Jones-themed toys, stickers and accessories all over the play area. Some items to hide include things like bandannas, skull balls, toy whips, sticker sheets and small bags of gummy worms. Give each player a sack to hunt the items. The child who finds the most items wins a large prize, such as an Indiana Jones-themed toy or play set. The children can keep the accessories they find as a memento of the gathering.

    Lasso Throwing

    • Place several random items on the ground, such as a large plush animal, a sawhorse or a chair. Mark a line 10 feet from the items and have the children line up on the line. Tie a loop on the end of a rope and show the children how to swing the rope to lasso an item. Give each player five tries and award a prize to each player who successfully lassos an item.
