How to Play Chase

Played by kids, dogs and even adults who are young at heart, the game of chase involves little more than chasing someone around until you catch them, and provides hours of fun, exercise and laughter in the meantime. To play the game, just reverse the rules of tag; instead of everybody running away from the person who is "it", everyone runs after him or her. Play chase with a large group, just two people or even with your pets.

Instructions

  Choose someone to chase or have someone chase you. If it is a dog or child, make it chase you by taking something it wants and running off. A favorite toy, bone or other treat should do the trick.

  Take off running and try not to let the chaser catch up with you. Set parameters for the game; for example, keep the chase only within the backyard or park, or go free-form and play chase all over your neighborhood.

  Don't get caught. When you are caught, the game is over and any treat or prize you may have had must be passed over to the one who caught you. You can always start the game over by chasing the victor once he or she is in possession of the treat or prize.
