Girlie Games for Girls

Many young girls love to pamper themselves by putting on make-up, doing their hair and having their nails done. If you are hosting a party or social gathering for a group of girlie girls, consider including a few games that will let them embrace their inner girl. Awarding small girlie-themed prizes like make-up and hair accessories to game winners will keep the girls interested in the games.

Girly Scavenger Hunts
- Divide the girls into teams and assign an adult for each team. Make scavenger lists with 25 girl items, such as a tube of red lipstick, a blue hairbrush, a purple hair clip and a fairytale book. Give each team a scavenger list. The girls must race with their team adult to try to find the items on their list. The first team back with 20 of their 25 items wins the game. For another girl scavenger hunt, hide several girl items like hair accessories and makeup all over the play area. The girl who finds the most items wins the game and a prize.
Games with Lipstick
- Tell the girls to sit around a table. Place a basket of inexpensive tubes of lipstick and lip gloss on the table. Give each girl a sheet of paper and have her draw a picture with the lip accessories. Award a prize to the funniest, best, silliest, scariest and most creative lipstick pictures. For another lipstick game, have the girls select a partner. Blindfold the girls and have them put lipstick on their partners. The player who does the best job wins a prize.
Circle Games
- Have the girls sit in a circle and give each girl 10 jellybeans. Select one girl to go first. She must stand up and say "I have never___________." Some examples include "I have never been to the beach" or "I have never had a sister." Any girl that has done what the person standing has not done must give that girl one of her jellybeans. After each girl has three turns, the girl with the most jellybeans wins the game. For another circle game, whisper a sentence like "Girlie girls love their hair and makeup done, each and every day." Each girl must whisper the secret into the ear of the girl beside her. The last girl says the secret aloud. The girls must keep playing until the secret makes it all the way around the circle without being wrong.
Fashion Games
- Give each girl a roll of aluminum foil and tell her to make a fashion outfit. She can make the outfit to fit her or make a small outfit just for show. Set a timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the girls must model or show their foil outfits. Award prizes to the best and most creative foil outfit. For another variation, give the girls tape, plastic wrap and foil to use to create the outfits.
